Ingredients
2 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten

Directions
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.
Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.
Stir sugar and banana mixture into flour mixture, stir just to moisten.
Pour batter until 3/4 full into prepared baking pans.
Set in the steamer.
Cook for 30 to 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Cool completely before serving.

INGREDIENTS
10 Cups plain popped popcorn
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup (Karo)
1 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS
Place the popped popcorn into two deep baking pans.
You may use roasting pans or disposable roasting pans.
Set aside. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
Combine the butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a non-stick saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat. stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat, and stir in the baking soda and vanilla.
The mixture will be light and foamy. Immediately pour over the popcorn in the pans, and stir to coat.
Bake for 1 hour, removing the pans, and giving them each a good stir and break apart every 15 minutes.
Allow to cool completely. Serve or store in airtight containers or resealable bags.

How to make popcorn, Perfect everytime


INGREDIENTS

1/4 Cup Yellow popcorn kernels
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil ( I use Sunflower oil)
Kosher salt (optional) INSTRUCTIONS
Place the base of the corn popper on a dry, level surface , away from any edge.
Place the corn and vegetable oil into the popping base.
Spread corn evenly over popping surface.
Do not substitute butter, margarine, shortening, or lard for vegetable oil as these will burn or smoke excessively.
Place the cover on the popping base, making sure the handles of the cover fit securely into the handles of the popping base.
Remove the cap.
Plug cord. Press the ON/OFF switch to “ON”.
The stir rod will rotate as long as the corn popper is on.
Do not shake popper during popping cycle. in 4-5 minutes the poppin cycle will be completed.
Turn the ON/OFF switch to “OFF”.
Popcorn is now ready for serving.
Sprinkle popcorn with salt if desired.

How to make Stove-top popcorn

Ingredients

2/3 cups yellow corn kernels

2 tablespoons sunflower oil

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions Turn the stove top to over medium high.

Heat the pot.

Add oil and coat the bottom of the pot well.

Wait 2 to 3 minutes until the pot heats up.

Add salt. Add yellow corn kernels. Stir well to coat the kernels with oil and salt.

Replace the lid.

Listen closely and hear the first few pops.

Turn off the heat as soon as you hear the popping slow.

Shake the pot until the last kernels have popped.

And Voila! You have light and airy popcorn.

Ingredients

5 pods okra, sliced in 1/4 inch pieces

5 pods okra, smashed

1 cup cornmeal

2/3 cup buttermilk

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

2/3 cup sunflower  oil

Directions In a small bowl, soak okra in buttermilk for 5 to 10 minutes. 

In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, salt, and pepper and cayenne pepper.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 

Dredge okra in the cornmeal mixture, coating evenly. 

Carefully place okra in hot oil; stir continuously. 

Reduce heat to medium when okra first starts to brown, and cook until golden. 

Drain on paper towel.

SINIGANG NA HIPON RECIPE (Filipino Sour Soup seafood Recipe) INGREDIENTS

8 cups water

1 onion, peeled and quartered 
2 medium tomatoes, quartered 
2 whole green chile pepper 
20 whole black peppercorns (optional) 1 cup daikon radish, peeled and sliced into 1/2 inch thick 1 pound shell-on shrimp, tendrils trimmed, washed and drained well 
1 Package Tamarind soup mix 
2 cups baby bok choy, leaves separated 

Optional to taste: 
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons fish sauceI 

Instructions: In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring water to a boil. Add onions, tomatoes, and radish and shrimp. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. Continue to cook for about 3 to 5 minutes or just until shrimps color changes to pink and vegetables are tender yet crisp. Add baby bok cho and mix well with broth. Turn off heat and cover until vegetables are cooked. Serve hot with steamed rice. Season with salt or fish sauce to taste. (Optional)
